In short

No account on WebArz’s server may be used to send spam, publish phishing pages or fake shops, distribute malware, run open relays or proxies, mine cryptocurrency, publish illegal or infringing content, host compromised content or attack other systems. Violations normally lead to a warning, then temporary suspension, then account termination; serious or ongoing abuse may be stopped immediately, without a warning. Report abuse to abuse@webarz.com.

Applies to every account on the server.

This policy applies to every account, domain, website and mailbox hosted on WebArz’s hosting server (server.webarz.com). Everyone who uses our services agrees to follow it.

The account holder is responsible for the content of the account, for the software installed in it and for all mail sent from it. If they let someone else use the account, they are also responsible for that person’s conduct. Keeping contact forms and mail-sending scripts protected, so that others cannot use them to send spam, is also the account holder’s responsibility.

Each prohibition has its own link.

§ 2 Prohibited use

Link to this clause

None of the following is allowed on any account on our server:

  1. Prohibited

    Spam and unsolicited bulk e-mail

    Link to this clause

Bulk or commercial e-mail may not be sent to recipients who did not explicitly ask for it in advance. Purchased, rented or scraped address lists may not be used, and address lists, address-harvesting software or bulk-mailing software may not be sold or distributed. Promoting a site hosted on our server in spam sent from elsewhere is also prohibited.

  2. Prohibited

    Phishing and fake shops

    Link to this clause

Pages that impersonate a bank, a courier, a public authority or any other brand in order to collect passwords, card data or personal information may not be hosted. Fake shops that sell goods which do not exist or will not be delivered are also prohibited.

  3. Prohibited

Malware, phishing kits and doorway pages

    Link to this clause

Malicious code such as viruses, trojans and web shells, and ready-made phishing kits, may not be hosted or distributed. Doorway pages created only to mislead search engines and redirect visitors elsewhere are also prohibited.

  4. Prohibited

    Open relays and proxies

    Link to this clause

Open mail relays that let anyone send mail without authentication, open proxies and similar services that hide other people’s traffic may not be run.

  5. Prohibited

    Cryptocurrency mining

    Link to this clause

Server resources may not be used for cryptocurrency mining. Code that mines in the visitor’s browser is also prohibited.

  6. Prohibited

    Illegal content and copyright infringement

    Link to this clause

Content that violates applicable law, or that infringes someone else’s copyright or trademark (for example unauthorized copies of software, films, music or books), may not be published.

  7. Prohibited

    Compromised content

    Link to this clause

Pages, hidden links, redirects and files produced by a compromised (hacked) site may not be kept on the server. Such content violates this policy even if the account holder was not aware of it.

  8. Prohibited

    Network attacks

    Link to this clause

Port scanning, denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks and password-guessing (brute-force) attacks against other systems may not be launched from our server. Botnet command-and-control servers and similar attack infrastructure may not be run.

Bulk mail only with consent.

§ 3 Sending e-mail

Link to this clause
  1. Bulk or commercial e-mail may only be sent to recipients who explicitly asked for it, and every message must contain an easy way to unsubscribe.
  2. Sender names, sender addresses and message headers must not be misleading or forged.
  3. Only addresses with confirmed (double) opt-in may be added to bulk mailing lists; unsubscribe requests are applied promptly and bouncing addresses are removed. Turkish rules on commercial electronic messages, including registration in the İleti Yönetim Sistemi (İYS), must be followed.
  4. Every domain we host publishes SPF, DKIM and DMARC records; these records may not be removed or disabled.

Warning → suspension → termination.

§ 4 Enforcement

Link to this clause

When a violation is detected or reported to us, we review it. If it is confirmed, the following steps normally apply:

  1. Step 1Warning

The account holder is notified in writing and asked to fix the problem.

  2. Step 2Temporary suspension

If the problem is not fixed or happens again, the account is temporarily suspended.

  3. Step 3Account termination

If the violation continues, the account is closed.

Exception For serious or ongoing abuse, such as active phishing, malware, a spam run or a compromised account, we do not wait for a warning: we may remove the content, block outgoing mail or suspend the account immediately.
